Bookkeeper

Reporting to the General Manager, the Bookkeeper will provide general accounting transactions and administrative support for the organization.

Responsibilities include:

• Full cycle accounting using QuickBooks Online including accounts payable/receivable and providing financial updates to leadership
• Responsible for reviewing invoices, tracking customer payments, reconciling accounts and following up on payments in arrears
• Matching PO’s and posting to QuickBooks
• Processing payments via cheques and EFT’s
• Monthly reconciliations of bank and credit card reconciliations,
• Ensure company compliance with tax laws and regulations
• Tracking and maintenance of Inventory Management
• Assisting with payroll, deductions remittances and benefits for hourly and salaried employees
• General office and administrative duties

Requirements for the role:

• Minimum 3 years of accounts payable and receivable experience
• Must have experience using QuickBooks Online
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft office
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Ability to provide customer service and effectively communicate with clients and vendors
