We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper/Administrator to join our team. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and performing various accounting tasks. The ideal candidate has a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, be proficient in accounting software, and interested in taking on other administrative tasks.
Duties:
You will be responsible for maintaining an accurate and up-to-date set of books, ensuring that payroll and HST/GST tax remittances are made on-time, setting up and monitoring payroll, calculating bonuses and commissions, monitoring projects, preparing expense reports, posting invoices, bills and payments, reconciling bank statements, and other bookkeeping or administrative tasks. You will also:
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Process invoices, payments, and expense reports
- Perform bank reconciliations
- Prepare and process payroll for employees
- Assist with year-end closing procedures
Skills, Knowledge and Qualifications:
- Proficient in QuickBooks Online
- Familiar with bank reconciliation procedures
- Strong knowledge of A/P and A/R processes
- Bondable and eligible for security clearance
- Excellent attention to detail
- Proactive communicator
- Strong organizational skills
- Familiar with Canadian payroll and tax regimes
