ABOUT THE ROLE

You will be primarily responsible for full-cycle bookkeeping but will also handle some Human Resource and administrative tasks. You will manage the bookkeeping process as it interacts with other departments to ensure that work is properly completed in a timely and accurate manner. This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of bookkeeping activities including A/R, A/P, payroll, reconciliations, government remittances, benefits management, monthly report preparation, and the support of budget and forecast activities. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Invoicing, accounts payable and receivable
  • Prepare and monitor cash flow report.
  • Process payroll bi-weekly.
  • Prepare monthly financial information on a timely basis.
  • Maintain physical and electronic filing systems.
  • Monitor and order offices supplies.
  • Provide support to the executive team to support overall company goals and objectives.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the company.

Human Resources Administration:

  • Maintain accurate and detailed employee records.
  • Develop professional working relationships with group benefits provider and ensure group benefits are administered effectively.

Office Administration:

  • Ensure essential service providers’ contracts are current, are performing duties satisfactorily and address any concerns directly with the provider.
  • Ensure excellent working condition of office equipment and manage inventory of office supplies.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE:

  • At least 5 years of full cycle bookkeeping experience is essential.
  • At least 3 years using all functionality of QuickBooks Online.
  • Experience with recurring revenue is an asset.
  • Experience using Salesforce is an asset.
  • Certificate/Diploma in Business Administration preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge and proficiency with MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
  • The ability to adapt and change in a dynamically growing entrepreneurial company.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize jobs.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial data.
  • Self-directed with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
