Job description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Onboarding Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently onboarding clients while setting up our bookkeeping team for success with processes and documentation. The ideal candidate will have 2 years of onboarding experience, a strong background in bookkeeping, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of cloud accounting platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Client Onboarding:
    • Guide clients through the onboarding process, ensuring a seamless transition to the cloud bookkeeping system.
    • Collect and organize necessary financial documents and information from clients.
    • Set up client profiles within the cloud accounting platform, configuring settings based on individual client needs.
    • Implement processess relatable to the client needs while creating a detailed document to support the bookkeeping process
  • Training and Support:
    • Provide training sessions to clients on how to navigate and utilize the features of the cloud bookkeeping system.
    • Address client inquiries and provide ongoing support to ensure clients are comfortable with the new platform.
  • Data Migration:
    • Coordinate the migration of financial data from clients' previous systems to the cloud platform.
    • Verify the accuracy of transferred data and troubleshoot any discrepancies.
  • Customization and Configuration:
    • Customize the cloud bookkeeping system to meet the specific needs and preferences of each client.
    • Configure integrations with other relevant software and tools used by clients.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Conduct thorough reviews of client accounts to ensure data accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
    • Implement quality assurance processes to identify and resolve any issues promptly.
  • Documentation:
    • Maintain detailed documentation of client onboarding processes, configurations, and client-specific instructions.
    • Create and update user manuals and guides for clients to reference.

Qualifications:

  • 2 years of onboarding experience
  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with popular cloud accounting platforms (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Xero).
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.

Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Bookkeeper (CPB) or Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor are a plus.
