Marid Industries is seeking a Shear & Brake Operator who has experience in Stainless-Steel, aluminum and mild steel. Candidate will be responsible for completing various projects that require a level of expertise and due diligence. The ideal candidate for this position relies on their knowledge of fabrication to apply their skills to the completion of projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Layout
• Utilizes plate shear machine to cut flat plate.
• Utilizes brake machine to bend plate and flat bar.
• Manually enters data in inches into each machine and carefully measures each piece of material to be cut and/or bent.
• Replace blades and dies as necessary.
• Work with tools, such as power tools, grinders and drill presses, ironworkers, and chop saws.
• Work with slings, lifting components and overhead cranes.
• Don all safety equipment to work in an environment that is loud or contains dust or smoke.

• Team player with strong organization & communication
• Sharp attention to detail
• Must be results-driven, conscientious, dependable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independent and in teams.
• Ability to pass test.
• Follow blueprint to very precise specifications.
