Brake Press Setup Operator

Brake Press Setup Operator [AMADA & CINCINATTI Brake Presses, Shears, Computer numerical control (CNC) machines]

• Read blueprints from designers and engineers
• Program your machine to fit the design
• Measure the final product to ensure uniformity
• Restock materials
• Perform routine maintenance on the machine
• Determine cut sizes on parts using correct Bend Allowance calculations
• Check products for correct shapes, dimensions and other specifications.
• Lay out, set up and operate Brake Press machines and back stops
• Read and interpret drawings or follow verbal instructions to bump, bend, roll, or otherwise shape and form metal stock into parts or products
• Operate metalworking machines to cut, punch, drill, shape or straighten sheet metal
• Measure and mark sheet metal according to templates and layouts
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment, maintain strong manual dexterity, attention to detail, hand-eye co-ordination, and standing for long periods
• specializing in stainless steel equipment, custom sheet metal items

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $20.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 44 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday

Experience:

• Brake Press Setup and Operation: 3 years (preferred)
• AMADA or CINCINATTI Brake Press: 3 years (preferred)

• Pickering, ON: Relocate before starting work (required)
