Sterling Crane requires an individual to fill the temporary hourly position of Branch Administrator based in Prince George, BC. This position will also assist other branches in the region for shutdown support and administrative assistance when required. This is a full-time position reporting to the Branch Manager. The successful candidate will possess strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain high attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Some travel may be required for this role.
The Branch Administrator performs a wide range of business support activities required for the efficient operation of our Branches in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures and customer requirements. Key activities include quote and order management, invoicing and customer account management, billing and labor hours processing, customer service and vendor management.

Job Type: Permanent Salary, full-time.

Location: Prince George, BC.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as FCC Facilitators within Branch Administrative processes.
  • Oversee administrative processes for the region as related to weekly payroll processing for hourly employees, onboarding/offboarding,accounting, employee time management.
  • Client invoicing, credit control and supporting payables & receivables management.
  • Processing vendor/supplier invoices.
  • Onboarding and offboarding employees and temporary workers, such as assisting in setting up new employee training, supporting Workday requirements, arranging safety orientation, review of employee handbooks.
  • Maintenance of on-site employee records.
  • Some event management (employee events, venue booking, food).
  • Support overall utilization by providing data and reporting.
  • Document control auditing and other administrative tasks as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school Diploma (or equivalent) is required, post-secondary administrative experience or training would be considered an asset.
  • 1-3 years administrative experience in related industry.
  • Experience with unionized payroll environments, FCC, ADP or other large ERP systems would be considered an asset.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of the crane industry is an asset.
  • Strong Customer Service skills with the ability to speak fluently with customers under pressure.
  • Solid work ethic and able to work additional hours as needed.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Power-Point.
  • Ability to prioritize work and communicate effectively with multiple departments.
  • Good communication skills; Must be comfortable engaging in a variety of different communicative modes (verbal, non-verbal, and written) and being attuned to others through strong active listening skills.
  • Ability to assess multiple tasks and develop a plan to complete them in a timely manner.
  • Able to work efficiently unsupervised and shows the initiative to work independently.
