Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic, creative and self-motivated individual to join JTI as a Brand Activation Intern within our highly regulated Tobacco industry. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our seasoned Brand Activation Managers to acquire valuable hands-on experience in the planning and execution of marketing initiatives while ensuring strict compliance with industry regulations. This internship presents a distinct opportunity to become an integral part of our dynamic team within a fast-paced consumer-packaged goods (CPG) company. Travel/timing: within in the GTA. Some Projects will require on-site and outside of regular hours.  

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Marketing Activity Support: Assist in the planning, execution, and evaluation of marketing activities and the day-to-day operations, ensuring they align with brand objectives and industry regulations.
  • Liaison Role: Act as a liaison between the Brand Activation team, Legal department, and other key stakeholders, both internally and externally (agency partners), to facilitate seamless collaboration and communication.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all marketing materials and initiatives comply with the strict regulatory standards governing the Tobacco industry.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Assist in data collection and analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and propose improvements.
  • Project Coordination: Support the team in coordinating various projects related to trade and consumer activations.
  • Administrative Tasks: Perform day-to-day administrative duties to ensure the smooth functioning of the department. Including Reporting, legal submissions, product orders, finance approvals, booking meetings etc..
  • Flexibility: Some projects may require on-site presence and flexibility outside of regular working hours to accommodate specific project needs.

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a university or college program with plans to return to school in the fall of 2024.
  • Pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. French is an asset but not required.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw meaningful insights.
  • Collaborative and able to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Keen attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy, strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities, time management and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is a plus.
