Position Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Breakfast Attendant and Cook to join our Food and Beverage team. These roles are essential in starting our guests' day off right by providing a delicious and well-prepared breakfast, ensuring food quality and cleanliness standards are maintained. The ideal candidate will have a friendly demeanor, a passion for food preparation, and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook breakfast buffet items according to Marriott standards and recipes
- Set up and maintain the breakfast buffet, keeping the area clean and inviting, and ensuring food items are well presented, replenished, and fresh.
- Greet guests warmly and assist them with any questions or requests regarding the breakfast service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and buffet area, adhering to health and safety standards, ensuring full compliance with food safety and brand standard.
- Monitor inventory of food and kitchen supplies, reporting any shortages to management in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with kitchen and hotel staff to ensure a seamless service experience for guests.
- Handle food preparation and serving tasks with attention to detail, including the use of proper portion control and kitchen equipment.
- Clean up after breakfast service, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and preparing the area for the next day.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to improve skills and knowledge related to the position.
Qualifications:
- Must have valid BC food safe certification.
- Previous experience in a breakfast service or kitchen role preferred.
- Ability to work early morning shifts.
- Prioritization and time management skills with ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- A team player with positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Physical Requirement:
- Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary, Permanent
Salary: $17.00-$18.25 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
