Brewery Server

Sonnen Hill is made up of a small team of individuals that work very hard to produce the quality products that we do. We aim to make easy-drinking beer and like to focus on the following styles: hoppy beer, lager beer, saison, fruit beers, and spontaneous beer. The brewery is located on a 37-acre farm in Caledon, Ontario and includes an on-site taproom, bottle shop, and beer garden.
We're currently seeking a Brewery Server to join our team. The ideal candidate has serving experience, is passionate about good beer, and has great customer service and communication skills. As a small and growing company, we are seeking passionate, and hardworking people who enjoy working with the public, are not afraid to jump in when needed, and have a willingness to learn new things about the craft beer industry.
Brewery Server responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

• Greeting and providing exceptional service to all brewery guests
• Be the face of Sonnen Hill while communicating our vision and values
• Responsibly serve alcohol and snacks in the taproom and beer garden according to service standards
• Operating POS system, including retail sales, taking payment, etc.
• Daily cleaning of the taproom, beer garden, bottle shop, etc.
• Daily opening and closing, cash outs, etc.
• Serving beer off-site on occasion (may be required to drive work van)
• Able to help package beer on occasion (canning or bottling)

Qualifications:

• A positive attitude with a sense of urgency and a willingness to learn
• Smart Serve certification
• Prior serving and brewery experience is an asset
• Must be available to work weekend shifts
• Clean driving record

Details:

• $20 per hour plus tip pool
• 16–24 hour work week
• Seasonal: May–September
• Overtime may be necessary at times
• Friday to Sunday shifts
• Must be able to work Stat Holidays
