Bricklayers Labourer in Vancouver

THE SALARY 20-30 PER HOUR BASED ON THE EXPERIENCE

• Lay bricks or other masonry units to build patios, garden walls and other decorative installations;
• Remove excess mortar after the brick is in position;
• Operate power or manual tools;
• Spreads soft bed of mortar for bricks in rows and spreading mortar between joints;
• Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment;
• Spread and apply mortar to accurately lay bricks into position;
• Prepare cement, test, and lay in bricks;
• Estimate the quantity of materials required by measuring surfaces or reviewing a work order;
• Cut bricks to fit as required;
• Read sketches and blueprints to calculate materials required;
• Prepare and lay bricks and similar materials to construct and repair walls, foundations and other structures;
• Construct and install prefabricated masonry units;
• Measures distance from reference points and marks guidelines on working surface to lay out work.

Requirements: Candidates preferred to be physically fit, able to lift weight (50lbs), should be willing to work outdoors, indoors, rain or shine;

• 3-4 years of experience in the trade is required or 3-4 years of apprenticeship program in the trade;
• Language: Basic English is a requirement.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Salary: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
