THE SALARY 20-30 PER HOUR BASED ON THE EXPERIENCE
- Lay bricks or other masonry units to build patios, garden walls and other decorative installations;
- Remove excess mortar after the brick is in position;
- Operate power or manual tools;
- Spreads soft bed of mortar for bricks in rows and spreading mortar between joints;
- Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment;
- Spread and apply mortar to accurately lay bricks into position;
- Prepare cement, test, and lay in bricks;
- Estimate the quantity of materials required by measuring surfaces or reviewing a work order;
- Cut bricks to fit as required;
- Read sketches and blueprints to calculate materials required;
- Prepare and lay bricks and similar materials to construct and repair walls, foundations and other structures;
- Construct and install prefabricated masonry units;
- Measures distance from reference points and marks guidelines on working surface to lay out work.
Requirements: Candidates preferred to be physically fit, able to lift weight (50lbs), should be willing to work outdoors, indoors, rain or shine;
- 3-4 years of experience in the trade is required or 3-4 years of apprenticeship program in the trade;
- Language: Basic English is a requirement.
