Building Maintenance - General Labour

Duties and Responsibilities

• Collect all cardboard and styrofoam from facility to bundle for recycling
• Load and operate cardboard compactor
• Load and operate styrofoam compactor
• Move full bales of cardboard scrap from baler to assigned location in warehouse
• Monitors the compactor to ensure it is running efficiently and safely
• Maintains good housekeeping around cardboard compactor
• Monthly inspections including fire extinguisher safety
• Maintains safe working conditions while ensuring all safety rules and procedures are being followed
• Assist with general Building Maintenance duties and projects as required
• Perform other duties as assigned

Physical & Working conditions

• Stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to walk for long periods of time
• Ability to lift, push, pull and/or move up to 50 lbs

Qualifications

• Minimum one (1) year maintenance/cleaner work experience
• Familiarity with pump truck
• Prior baler or machine operation experience preferred but not required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Self-motivated
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

Requirements

• Pre-employment Police Background check is mandatory
