Building Maintenance Worker

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable General Maintenance Person for our multi-tenant commercial property in Riverview, NB. The ideal candidate – an experienced ‘jack’ or ‘jill’ of all trades - will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities. From basic repairs and maintenance to troubleshooting and preventive maintenance, this individual will be responsible for operation and upkeep of our commercial properties and play a critical role in maintaining a safe and functional environment for our tenants and customers.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine inspections of premises to identify and address maintenance issues.
• Perform basic repairs on plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Handle basic carpentry work, repairs and painting.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
• Conduct routine landscaping and groundskeeping tasks.
• Collaborate with other team members and contractors when needed.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in maintenance, construction or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of basic repair and maintenance techniques.
• Proficient in using hand and power tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
• Physical stamina and strength to handle various tasks.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• Clean criminal record check.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $16.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 – 44 per week
