Bus Cleaner / Vehicle Detailer (Part Time, On Call)

SHIFT

We are looking to hire individuals for Part Time flexible shift work, including On Call, in the wash bay at 210 Falconbridge.

Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our Tisdale Bus Lines motor coaches and client vehicles, ensuring they are ready for the next journey. Your primary goal will be to deliver impeccably cleaned and well-maintained vehicles to our customers, ensuring their satisfaction and safety.

Responsibilities

· Thoroughly clean the interior and exterior of motor coaches, including windows, floors, seats, and overhead compartments. Follow established cleaning procedures and guidelines to achieve high-quality standards. Detail the motor coaches by cleaning and polishing all surfaces, ensuring they are free from dirt, dust, and stains. Ensure proper care inside and outside of the vehicle.

· Safely and efficiently dispose of waste materials, including trash, recyclables, and hazardous substances, in accordance with established guidelines.

· Wash and clean the exterior of motor coaches using specialized equipment and cleaners. Remove dirt, grime, and road debris to enhance the vehicle's appearance.

· Strictly follow all safety procedures and protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and chemical handling guidelines. Report any safety concerns or accidents promptly to the management.

· Drive 45-foot-long motor coaches with caution at all times

· Top up fluids as required (I.e., Washer Fluid, Fuel)

· Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure all cleaning and detailing tasks are completed efficiently and within designated timeframes. Assist colleagues as needed to accomplish shared objectives.

· Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

· Hold an active driver’s license, class G preferred

· Be confident in driving 45-foot-long motor coaches around the yard and in and out of the garage

· High school diploma or equivalent education.

· Previous experience in vehicle cleaning, detailing, or maintenance preferred.

· Knowledge of cleaning agents, equipment, and techniques.

· Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures for handling cleaning chemicals.

· Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.

· Excellent organizational and time management skills.

· Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

· Flexibility to work in varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

· Valid driver's license with a clean driving record may be required, depending on the job requirements.

Physical Requirements

· The employee will be required to remember and understand certain instructions, guidelines or other information.

· While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to move frequently, stand, walk, and sit. The employee is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and to reach with hands and arms.

Job Types: Part-time, Casual

Salary: $21.54 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 20 per week
