Bus Drivers (Casual On Call)

Queen Margaret's School is looking for qualified Bus Drivers on a Casual on Call basis. This is a wonderful opportunity to join a small friendly team.

Qualifications:

The following are requirements for this position:

• Must hold a current BC Class 2 or Class 4 Driver's License
• Must have at least two years of driving experience

Preference will be given to candidates who also have the following skills and qualifications:

• Level 1 First Aid certification or equivalent
• Experience driving children

Working Conditions:

• Day, evening, weekend, and possible overnight shifts
• Some heavy lifting (i.e., suitcases) and carrying may be required

Responsibilities:

• Safely drive students to and from school, following a prescribed route
• Perform vehicle circle check safety inspections, documenting & reporting according to school and government regulations
• Comply with all school and government regulations, laws and policies
• Communicate clearly and interact with parents, school staff, passengers, co-workers and the general public in a courteous, professional manner as required
• Be punctual and reliable
• Be in good physical condition (lifting and carrying involved in the duties)
• Possess a positive attitude and work as a team player
• Be able to work with minimum supervision
• Be willing to attend and practice safety-related training provided by the School
• All applicants for this position will be expected to agree to have a Criminal Record Check initiated by Queen Margaret's School.
