Position Overview
As the Business Process Analyst, you will play a key role in corporate projects by working with various cross-functional business units to enhance effectiveness through alignment of Business Processes with business strategy.
Making recommendations and presenting them to various stakeholders and leaders for improved processes, process optimization, process performance measurement and evaluation.
You are a Business Process Practitioner, with experience in Process management, Process improvement, or Process transformation. You have proven experience looking for opportunities to improve or stream functionality to better serve the business and customer needs and the strategic direction.
This position allows flexible work arrangements ie: working at home full-time, full-time in the office or a hybrid combination.  Some travel may be required. Location is flexible within the Atlantic and Eastern time zones. The work hours are Monday to Friday, daytime business hours.
Key Responsibilities:
-Lead interview sessions with subject matter experts and stakeholders to identify, map and streamline processes and document all process models and process scenarios
-Maintain detailed documentation of work and create final report
-Work closely with business stakeholders on metrics to identify future process improvement opportunities in alignment with corporate strategic goals
-Recommend system enhancements for improved process and adapt processes as needed within system capabilities
-Gather, review and analyze business and industry data, including KPIs, financial reports and other key metrics using data analytics tools
-Mentor junior BPAs and business units on business modeling practices
 
Work Status: Due to Security Clearance requirement, we need candidate to be in Canada from at least 5 years and their status should be Permanent Resident or Citizen now.
Required Experience & Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Certifications: Certified Business Process Professional (CBPP) and/or Business Process Management Professional (BPMP), Six Sigma (Green or above)
Experience: Minimum 2-3 years related experience within the discipline of Process improvement, Operational Excellence, Business Process Analysis.
Computer Skills: Intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and Word) is required
-Proven experience documenting Business Processes using Business Process Modelling Notation (BPMN)
-Proven experience with BPM processes, practices and related tools (includes Enterprise Architect, Visio, QualiWare, iGraphix, Mega Process, Metastorm, ProvisionBPA)
-Previous experience working with or within a government environment considered an asset.
-Knowledge of related processes and tools
-Creative problem-solving skills and making recommendations for improvements
-Ability to manage time and priorities and stay organized in fast paced environment
-Excellent verbal (presentation), written and listening skills
-Dedication to meeting customer requirements
-Works effectively with variety of people with ability to persuade, negotiate and deal well with situations of conflicting opinions
-Excellent facilitation, negotiation, and consensus building skills are required.
-Effective communication skills and the ability to develop credibility with internal and external stakeholders
