Business Systems Analyst

Reporting to the IT & DCS Team Lead, the Business Systems Analyst will work with IT team to ensure network availability, provide end user support, and plan and implement solutions

The Business Systems Analyst will have to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced industrial environment. Must have the ability to work autonomously under pressure with exposure to all types of weather conditions when in the field.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain all system infrastructure including but not limited to: Windows servers, end user pcs, mobile devices, and network infrastructure
  • Ensure network availability and troubleshoot issues as required
  • Manage and complete cybersecurity system audits
  • Define requirements, configure and implement new systems as required
  • Responsible for troubleshooting end user requests
  • Complete monthly compliance audits
  • Complete all daily operational checks of systems
  • Work with other departments to understand their requirements and provide IT systems related services.
  • Work with operations department to ensure control system functions as expected, timely and adequate support is available as needed.
  • Keep upgrading one's understanding and knowledge of cyber threats and be proactive in finding and implementing solutions to protect the organization from such threats
  • Develop and review departmental policies and procedures that align with corporate objectives and expectations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors in IT/Computer engineering or Diploma or Degree in IT or Computer engineering
  • Ten or more years experience working in an industrial setting with significant IT Systems experience
  • Experience and high levels of understanding of the following platforms: Cisco Suite of Products, Microsoft, Citrix, and VMware.
  • Experience working with but not limited to; networking, active directory, network and end user troubleshooting, Windows Server, and Maximo
  • Understanding of mobile device management
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity and dedicated to cybersecurity best practices and methodologies
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Proven communication and collaboration skills
  • Able to work with all levels of management to determine upcoming scopes of work and identify departmental requirements
  • Manage licenses and renewals of IT hardware and software
  • Able to maintain professional demeanor under pressure
  • Adaptability and flexibility
  • Well-developed organizational and time management skills
