Butcher Shop Clerk Pt

The Kootenay Co-op is looking for a part time Butcher Shop Clerk. Hours of work are 4:30pm - 9:00pm. Weekend flexibility required. This position is for cleaning the Butcher Shop at the end of day, and would ideally suit a high school student.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Comply with all Interior Health and Health Canada operating procedures.
• Ensure all food handling equipment, coolers, displays, storage areas and workspaces meet health department regulations, and flag any identified equipment maintenance requirements, and calibration/accuracy requirements.
• Perform slicing and packing for Grab & Go sections.
• Communicate to the department manager any problems or situations that arise.
• Participate in regular department meetings, and whole store meetings.
• Perform end of night cleaning and service case shutdown procedures.
• Comply with the policies and procedures set out in the Employee Handbook and Health & Safety Manual.
• Other duties as required.

• Ability to properly and safely lift up to 50 pounds.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Salary: $16.75-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 16 per week
