As a Calgro Driver/Operator, your work includes Semi Tractor Trailer driving components, heavy equipment operating, and labouring. Primary duties include:
- Routine machine cleaning, servicing and maintenance as well as labouring duties as assigned.
- Completion of a machine log daily.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a Grade 10 education.
- A valid Class 1 Driver's License and Q endorsement (or provincial equivalent) with no more than 6 demerits, no current suspensions or charges pending is required.
- At least 1 year of Class 1 related driving experience and experience operating heavy equipment is required.
- A basic proficiency working with Microsoft Office will be considered an asset.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to understand instructions.
Working Conditions: This position requires physically demanding work in all types of working and weather conditions. There will be exposure to biosolids.
Pre-employment Requirements
- Asecurity clearance will be conducted.
- Applicants will be tested for appropriate skills.
- Must obtain a City of Calgary operator's permit
- Successful applicants must provide proof of qualifications.
Pre-employment Drug Test:An offer of employment for this position will be conditional on an applicant passing a pre-employment drug test. This test assesses for use of drugs including cannabis. Failure to pass a pre-employment drug test may prevent an applicant from being hired into any safety sensitive position for a period of up to twelve months.
