We are hiring ON-SITE CALL-TAKERS who knows the city of Edmonton like the back of your hand and can problem solve on the fly while dealing with short timelines. If this sounds like you, APPLY NOW!

Reporting to the Dispatch Manager, the Call Taker is responsible for handing inbound calls from customers and book taxi trips based on the information received.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to a variety of calls from existing or new customers.
  • Create customer loyalty by providing friendly and efficient service.
  • Provide customer support by addressing questions, problems, or requests for service.
  • Handle a high volume of calls using a multi line phone system.
  • You will handle sensitive personal data that will require a high level of business maturity.

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Basic technical and computer skills with fast typing and accurate data entry skills.
  • A team player who is focused on providing exceptional service and a customer focused attitude with the ability to take direction, work independently and work well with others.
  • Must be able to prioritize and multi task including being able to remain flexible in continually changing and fast paced situations.
  • Ability to work with time constraints in a complex environment
  • Geographical knowledge of the city and surrounding areas.
  • Possess advanced problem solving skills with the ability to proactively manage issues
  • Must be able to work shift work (days, evenings, nights and weekends).

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a customer service role
  • Call center experience an asset
