Campground Host

Job Summary

The Regional District of Kootenay Boundary is looking for a reliable and mature live-in Campground Host/contractor for the Beaver Valley Family Park (Located located 3 km east of Fruitvale), commencing May 18, 2024 to September 3, 2024. The goal is to create a safe and clean camping environment that meets or exceeds government standards and client expectations.

Responsibilities and Duties

Responsibilities include a mix of janitorial, park maintenance, cleaning campsites, selling firewood, public relations, greeting guests, collecting site fees, enforcing park regulations, first-aid, and security. Campground hosts need to be enthusiastic, outgoing, and friendly.

Qualifications and Skills

• Valid first aid certificate
• Driver's licence and own transportation required
• A Criminal Record Check
• Must carry personal and liability insurance
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems with little or no supervision
• Contractor responsible for own food and accommodations (ie. trailer/ camper)

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $866.66 per week

Schedule:

• Every Weekend
• Monday to Friday
