Job Description:

SALARY RANGE: $72,911 - $97,212
JOB SUMMARY: UNDER THE DIRECT SUPERVISION OF THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE, IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL FACETS OF THE CAMPUS STORE OPERATIONS.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- day-to-day management of Campus store operations and online orders
- the procedures, coordination of work assignments, and supervision of all Campus store employees
- prepares yearly budget projections, and yearly work plan and participates in ongoing profitability reviews
- reviews historical sales performance and projects accordingly
- proposes marketing campaigns and oversees promotional events/sales and seasonal changes
- oversees store layout and visual displays in order to facilitate exposure and maximize sales
- oversees the ordering of College logo branding merchandise
- liaises with suppliers and negotiates all pricing
- oversees the merchandise purchases related to latest trends and customer needs
- prepares monthly and annual financial statement reports
- reports monthly sales as requested by Statistics Quebec
- prepares inventory lists for auditors
- liaises with the external auditors
- hires and oversees the training and scheduling of occasional workers during peak time
- conducts performance appraisals of Campus store staff
- reviews and approves all Campus store invoices and credits
- oversees the administration and ongoing training of Campus store personnel with the point-of-sale system (Bookware 3000)
- oversees the administration, purchasing, receiving, pricing, verification and preparation of faculty order lists
- prepares purchase orders according to department needs
- oversees the return of merchandise to suppliers and ensures the appropriate credit is recorded in the Bookware system
- ensures the notification to students regarding payment deadlines and outstanding payments
- inventory management including internal verification and controls
- daily sales journals, including daily cash reconciliation and balancing of all cashier's reports and deposits
- performs any other related tasks as may be assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in a Business or Marketing or related field or equivalent, and 2-3 years related experience in retail sales management
