Address Position Summary... The Manager, Performance Analytics& Data Science is responsible for analysis and insights on the performance of Walmart Canada’s retail business. This role provides stores with their day-to-day measurement and performance reporting, and helps the senior Operations team make informed decisions by identifying opportunities and recommending action plans.
What you'll do...
1. Supports Operations strategies and processes by effectively framing analytics problems, performing exploratory data analysis leveraging big data, and building analytical models and reporting as per business requirements.
2. Analyzes and interprets metrics & data for retail operations to improve business efficiency, by using data-science algorithms to help connect the dots across various data sets to simplify the complex and unlock insights in an efficient and sound manner...
3. Collaborates with various project teams and cross-functional partners to identify appropriate critical metrics, build supporting framework and succinct visualization, and drive data integrity & accuracy when measuring performance and/or progress. Prioritizes this work in accordance with our Analytics Roadmap which is aligned to overarching business priorities.
4. Develops and prepares tools & reporting that support annual planning, day-to-day decision making, and business cases by summarizing needed information, and analyzing the initiative's impact to the business..Supports ad hoc analytics requests and presentations for leadership or project meetings, as required.
5. Identifies and influences stakeholders by recommending changes based on data, persuading cross-functional teams to implement changes based on data, and building relationships with executives and directors in all cross-functional areas.
6. Maintains our Central Operations Reporting Repository/Platform, ensuring data accuracy and timely deployment,
7. Collaborates with business partners to identify process improvements & provide data driven decision support. This includes summarizing & presenting technical information to non-technical audiences.
