Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all regulations set by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario and follow standard operating procedures.
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of cannabis and provide individualized experiences that exceed expectations.
- Drive sales across different product categories and attract new and returning customers.
- Welcome guests to the store, check identification and ensure they are safe to enter.
- Handle difficult situations with customers professionally and compassionately.
- Maintain the store's appearance by cleaning, restocking, organizing, and following merchandising plans.
- Assist in protecting assets and preventing losses by reporting any suspicious incidents to management.
- Pay close attention to detail to ensure accuracy in inventory management and customer satisfaction.
- Assist with visual merchandising and product displays- Handle cash transactions and ensure accuracy in cash management
Requirements:
- Must have CanSell certification or be willing to obtain it.
- Understanding of terpenes, cannabinoids, and the effects of cannabis, and the ability to communicate this to customers effectively.
- Minimum of 2 years of retail customer service experience, preferably in a fast-paced, knowledge-driven environment, with bonus points for experience in a regulated industry.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Salary: $16.55-$19.25 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
