Cannabis Sales Specialist

Our ideal candidate would possess past cannabis retail experience, or be keen to learn more about our industry. We can teach those passionate to learn!

This is a permanent position averaging 30-35 hours weekly, mornings/evenings/weekend shifts (variable and opportunity to grow). Wage is dependent on experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Deliver exceptional customer service
• Guide and direct customers through their cannabis purchasing journey
• Respond to customer inquiries with comprehensive knowledge and accuracy
• Fulfill orders from online sales and express checkout system
• Assist with implementing new delivery expansion
• Process transactions through our point-of-sale system
• Operate various integrated computer platforms
• Receive and document inventory
• Creating POs, sales orders, digital files, emails
• Completing end-of-day reporting and procedures
• Ensure compliance in all transactions
• Assist with opening/closing of the store
• Provide merchandising and cleaning assistance as required
• Receive cross-training in multiple departments to provide coverage when vacancies arise
• Handle busy, stressful situations calmly and professionally

IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Team Player
• In-depth knowledge of cannabis products, strains and consumption methods
• In-depth knowledge of cultivation methods, lighting, nutrients, tents
• Exceptional customer service skills, ensuring a high level of customer interaction, with suggestive selling and enthusiasm
• Positive, charismatic, and welcoming, with an outgoing attitude and strong work ethic
• Professional, well-groomed appearance and demeanor
• Able to stand on feet for extended periods of time
• Retail experience preferred, ideally in a cannabis retail setting
• Minimum 19 years of age
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Must pass a criminal record and background check
• Must pass Yukon Government BARS-C cannabis worker training
