Purpose-led work you’ll be part of

As a Capital Projects & Infrastructure Associate, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Advise public and private sector clients on industry practices in the planning, financing and management of capital and infrastructure projects, and support them in the implementation of these recommendations
  • Contribute to drafting reports, presentations and information documents of a financial and commercial nature, business cases and analyses related to various procurement models (eg., Alliancing, IPD, P3, Progressive Design-Build, EPC, etc.)
  • Take part in the development of complex financial models used in project finance
  • Assist in financial and risk analysis, preparation of procurement strategies and processes, and in the review of project agreements and related legal documents from a commercial/financial perspective
  • Contribute in consolidating and analysing various data sources, working with data visualisation and analysis tools where needed (training will be provided)
  • On occasion, contribute to advising infrastructure clients on project reviews, analysis of schedules, cost estimates, analysis of claims and disputes, project controls, contract administration, governance, process and systems, construction readiness, and construction industry trends
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of various infrastructure sectors such as transportation, energy, and social infrastructure
  • Develop your network of business relationships in the public and private sector as well as in the community of lenders, investors, legal advisors and technical advisors
  • Contribute to the preparation of proposals and pitch decks, and participate in business development initiatives

Experiences and skills you’ll use to solve

  • Proven technical and analytical capabilities including financial analysis and financial modeling skills applicable to infrastructure projects
  • An interest in project finance and infrastructure projects
  • Strong communication, presentation and writing skills in both French and English, including the ability to understand and effectively summarize complex documents
  • An interest in project management, as well as in governance, controls and processes used in capital projects
  • Flexibility and adaptability to a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
  • A university degree in a relevant discipline (business, accounting, finance, etc.)
  • An interest in pursuing a professional designation in finance (CFA, CBV) or in project management (PMP) will be considered an asset
  • A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences and working alongside diverse people and perspectives
