Care Giver

The duties include but not limited to:

• Provides holistic personal care to residents, ensuring that the residents’ daily activities are met as per policy and procedures and daily living plan (e.g. personal hygiene, skincare, toileting, and dressing).
• Observes, reports and records any changes in resident’s functional and cognitive behaviour.
• Ensures that resident rights are maintained and respected, which includes confidentiality.
• Answers call bells promptly, and responds appropriately to resident requests.
• Coordinates with visitors to the residents, external caregivers or contractors.
• Assists residents dining and reports any appetite/fluid/food intake changes or concerns immediately to the manager.
• Implements infection control measures and reports any shortages, breakage and malfunction of equipment.
• Performs housekeeping duties. Maintains a clean, safe, homelike environment for residents and staff.
• Dispatches resident’s medication according to the instructions from doctors and pharmacists. Reports and records untaken medications and reactions if any.
• Attends and participates in education programs aimed at increasing personal knowledge and abilities of the caregiver.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: From $16.55 per hour
