We are looking for workers for construction, demolition, abatement of hazardous materials. The ideal applicant will identify effective work practices and make safety a priority for themselves as well as their team members. Responsibilities:
- Abatement of asbestos containing material from residential, ships, industrial and commercial buildings, such as drywall, vinyl flooring, plaster, insulation etc.
- Abatement of asbestos while wearing respirators (PAPR masks), Tyvek suites and steel toed shoes.
- Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures set out by the company's health and safety program.
- Follow all hazardous material handling guidelines and prescribed safety procedures laid out by WorksafeBC guidelines.
- Operation of hand and power tools, and a variety of other equipment.
- Ability to lift 50lbs and stand for long periods while working.
- Perform administrative tasks as needed.
Additional Information:
- Training will be provided for Asbestos abatement, mould, and lead training. Additional training such as fall arrest, confined space, transport of dangerous goods will be provided as needed.
- Typical hours of operations are Monday - Friday, however weekend and/or out of town work may be required.
- Workers must be clean shaven to wear respirators.
- Physical work in various temperatures is required.
Wage negotiable based on experience.

Salary: $24.00-$28.00 per hour
