Responsible for providing Cashier/Receptionist services at Gorman Outdoor Pool including providing general information to the public; processing admissions and, registrations, completing daily cash forms; providing clerical support to the Recreation & Culture/Customer Service Departments.
Job Requirements
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Word, Excel and Outlook) and demonstrated comfort level with the internet. Knowledge of Point of Sales (POS) and Recreation Registration software as well as a proven aptitude for learning software applications.
- Demonstrated experience with cash handling in an accurate manner.
- Demonstrated ability to work as a team member and independently with minimal supervision. Ability to communicate (verbally and orally) effectively, tactfully and courteously with all levels of staff, the general public and program participants.
- Possess good organizational skills, adaptability, and the ability to coordinate and prioritize work. Previous experience requiring some level of multi-tasking.
- Strong interpersonal, public relations, analytical and problem/ complaint resolution skills.
- Demonstrated strong verbal communication skills; attention to detail and accuracy is necessary as is a strong comfort level with numerical responsibilities.
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule including evenings and weekends, as required.
- Due to the responsibilities of this position a a Police Vulnerable Sector Check satisfactory to the Town is required.
