Casual Assistant - Approx. 25 Hours/Week

Hours of work: 8:20 am - 3:15 pm Monday - Thursday

Vauxhall Elementary School is an Early Learning to grade six elementary school of approximately 140 students with a staff of 25. We are located approximately 20 minutes North of Taber or 50 minutes northeast of Lethbridge.

We are looking for a dynamic person to join our VES family. The ideal candidate will be energetic and flexible, with a passion for working with children. They should have a growth mindset, constantly seeking to improve their skills and strategies for supporting young people.

Responsibilities would include:

-Provide one-on-one support to children and youth, helping them develop social, emotional, and behavioral skills.

-Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to create and implement behavior plans and strategies.

-Monitor and track progress of students, adjusting support as needed.

-Model positive behavior and provide guidance to students in various settings.

-Maintain a safe and supportive environment for all students.

The successful candidate must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, possess the ability to work collaboratively with a team and have a strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and techniques.
