Casual - Bus Monitors

Langley School District is seeking applications for the position of Casual Bu s Monitors .
This position reports to the supervisor of Transportation and assists the Bus Driver in loading, unloading, supervising and monitoring students with special needs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervises and monitors students with special needs while enroute to school and home.
Assists Bus Driver in loading, securing and unloading the students.
Administers First Aid as required.
Relays information between parents and teachers.
Performs other assigned comparable duties which are within the scope of knowledge, skills and abilities required by this class specification.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Grade 10.
First Aid Certificate (1 day Emergency First Aid with CPR or equivalent).
Ability to interact with students in an effective manner.
Ability to communicate effectively using tact and discretion in the explanation and clarification of information.
Ability to use judgement in applying established methods and procedures.
Physical ability to perform the required duties.
