ToolTown Inc. is looking to hire a reliable, energetic and self-motivated Category Manager to work in our head office location in Winnipeg, MB. The Category Manager will be responsible in managing a range of products within one or more departments to be sold in our locations Canada wide. The candidate must consider the trends of the market and the needs of our customers.
Job Summary
The successful candidate will be required to perform the following duties:
- Maintain sales & gross margins of delegated items, departments & suppliers.
- Ensure adequate restock of items through purchase orders & warehouse splits.
- Analyze current vendors price and item lists to ensure the best of quality and pricing is both met, while maintaining a selection of products for our customers.
- Maintenance of all item properties & taking corrective action when sku’s need attention.
- Regularly communicate with General Manager to raise concern about potential issues, ideas and challenges that may impact business.
- Select products to feature in our monthly promotions.
- Establish and maintain business relationships with vendors. While ensuring the best agreements are in place.
Key Qualifications Include
· 1 - 2 years experience as a Category Manager
· Ability to problem solve & make quick, confident decisions based on research
· Meticulous attention to detail, high level of organization
· Business like verbal & written communication skills, including ability to negotiate and meet with suppliers
· Proficient in Excel & Outlook
· Must be bondable and pass a complete background check
