3 MONTH CONTRACT POSITION
Job Summary
CBORD Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day operational delivery of the business processes provided by the CBORD food service information system including menu planning, nutritional analysis, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the CBORD system. The CBORD Specialist role is required to develop and maintain appropriate databases supporting all CBORD modules. Reviews, recommends, trains staff and performs changes required to the system to meet the day-to-day business requirements and future business needs.
Clinical component:
-Reviews & maintains nutritional information of all food products; seeks and recommends new products to maintain or enhance nutritional quality.
-Leads menu development (e.g., new menus, seasonal menus, etc.) and ensures nutritional analysis of all diets is completed accurately and nutritional information is maintained.
CBORD Management component:
-Leads the development, implementation, maintenance, and integration of the CBORD food service information system and acts as an expert resource. Analyzes and maintains database supporting system solutions by establishing quality checks and verification points for all  accuracy of data.
-Designs and implements training for all end users on the CBORD modules and reports and develops appropriate end user training documentation.
-Maintains familiarity with industry developments, advancements and recommends course of action for their application.
-Communicates and documents all system failures, unusual delays, financial impacts, and impacts to patient care.
-Works in collaboration with Compass Group Canada’s IT, client’s IT and CBORD to provide system and database functionality support to end users.
Administrative:
-Manages the Diet Office’s staffing, processes and meal delivery systems related to CBORD to ensure efficiency.
-Maintains adequate inventory on site ensuring appropriate ordering processes are set in place.
-Develops implements and maintains system backups and emergency recovery procedures for the department.
-Ensures audit completion for the department based on KPIs.
-Oversee the daily food service in assigned areas including supervising designated staff, maintaining, and updating manual and computerized records
-Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications:
-Graduation from an approved post-secondary nutrition program.
-Active member of the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management (CSNM) minimum requirement.
-Experience with CBORD food and nutrition system or any other diet software.
-Demonstrated ability to develop and analyze menus for an acute clinical and residential settings.
-Excellent organizational, project management and time management skills.
-Excellent attention to detail analytical and communication skills, both verbal and written.
-Ability to successfully communicate solutions to technical, operational, and clinical issues.
-User-level technical problem-solving skills.
-Demonstrated ability to establish effective working relationships with technical, operational, clinical, vendor and client staff.
-Strong customer service orientation.
-Ability to work with end-users of varying skill levels at all levels of the organization.
-Ability to analyze workflow and systems applications in a clear, concise manner.
-Ability to utilize resources effectively.
-Creative, positive, solution-oriented attitude in the workplace.
-Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
