Position Details
The Central Stores is looking to hire a store clerk position to complete day-to-day operations under the supervision of the Store Manager.
This position is a three-year term contract and offers 30 hour of work per week (0.857 FTE). This position works 9AM-12PM and 1PM-4PM every day during the regular work week (Monday to Friday).
The hired candidate will be expected to complete the following tasks using well established procedures:

The hired candidate will be expected to complete the following tasks using well established procedures:
- Receive and unpack incoming shipments and store the inventory as required
- Enter data for receipt and distribution of stores items in the inventory management system
- Provide customer assistance at the Store front window by filling in-person orders and answering questions
- Receive and place order requests received electronically via the Stores email
- Communicate with Store users to inform them of pending order pick-ups and incoming shipments Assist the Store Manager with day to day tasks such as liquid nitrogen dispensing, inventory counts, keeping the Stores tidy/clean, etc
This position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills and an attention to detail.
Starting Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE): $3,135.00 to $3,433.00 per month
Full Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE): $3,135.00 to $3,729.00 (AUPE Grade 3)
No. of shifts per week: 5 shifts
No. of hours per shift: 6 hours

Position Qualifications
Applicants must:
- Have high school diploma
- Be physically competent to lift weights of 15-20 Kg
Experienced with handling and transporting chemicals is considered an asset.
