Responsibilities:
- Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications to patients
- Prepare and package medications for distribution
- Maintain proper inventory of medications and supplies
- Enter prescription information into computer systems accurately
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare professionals
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries from patients and healthcare professionals
- Follow all safety and quality assurance protocols
Experience:
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification required
- Previous experience working as a Pharmacy Technician preferred
- Familiarity with medical terminology and pharmacy calculations
- Knowledge of medication administration and patient care
- Experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting is a plus
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication preparation
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency in using pharmacy software systems and computer applications
