We are currently seeking a Chartered Accountant to join our team in nova Scotia, Nova Scotia (CA-NS), Canada (CA).
- Researchaccounting matters to determine proper accounting treatment for newly issued accounting standards,updated accounting policies, and other special business transactions.
- Work with Finance and Accountingteamsto discover and find solutions to unusual accounting matters.
- Develop and maintain interactionwith the other Finance and Accounting teams within the organization regarding accounting policies and guidance on standards.
- Assist with the development and updating of the organization's accounting and finance policies.
- Coordinate training on relevant accounting topics for theFinance and Accounting teams.
- Reassess and communicate, as appropriate, accounting procedures and guidance for specialized transactions.
- Assists in reviewing Capitalization Packages and coordinating with the CDO with regardto software development.
- Understanding of IFRS and US GAAP and ability to communicate information to non-accounting teams.
- Respond to inquiries in a prompt and professional manner.
Must Have
- CPA or Chartered Accountant
- 8+ years of General Accounting experience
- Experience managing and researching complex accounting projects
