Chief Accountant - Intl Netherlands

Insight Global is looking for a Chief Accountant to work on site for one of the industry leading manufacturers of home appliances and perform the below responsibilities:
• Responsible for day-to-day accounting operations from A to Z and statutory compliance activities
• Responsible for the monthly and year end closing procedures especially tax accruals, monthly expense, income accruals and provisions
• Support audits (internal as well as external audits) ensure internal control procedure are in place.
• Manages ad-hoc requests for analysis for management and controlling dept.
• Manage tax calculations and submissions
• Deep knowledge in customer accounts, accounts receivables, credit management and account payables procedures
• Customer and supplier follow-up
• Ensure compliance with group procedures and local legislation
• Actively engage with accounting policies and business finance partnership to discuss on the treatment and accounting of all accounting topics
• Developing customer, vendor, bank reconciliations, inter-company reconciliations, and other month-end general ledger reconciliations
• Have a good understanding of payroll accounting
• Improving work processes and procedures, bringing digitization and efficiency
• Other general accounting responsibilities and finance projects as required

Required Skills & Experience
• Degree in Business Administration/Economics/Finance/Accounting/Tax or related fields
• Ideally more than 7 years' experience in accounting or similar departments preferably audit experience in Big 4 or equivalents
• Dutch GAAP, IFRS and SAP knowledge
• MS Office skills
• Ability to communicate effectively, having analytical thinking and result orientation
• A good understanding of commercial approach
• Critical and analytical mindset, with an eye for detail and accuracy
• High level of drive and ability to work under pressure
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Dutch and advanced level in English
