Key Responsibilities:
- Bring the Council's strategic direction to life by overseeing the development and execution of short and long-term vision and plans.
- Steward decision-making across diverse stakeholders to achieve organizational goals.
- Manage day-to-day operations efficiently and effectively to ensure the delivery of services to residents and businesses.
- Administer and coordinate services, optimizing human, financial, and asset resources.
- Implement, promote, and lead the local government through change, transformation, and development.
- Ensure overall effective fiscal management, including budgeting and resource optimization.
- Direct the operations in accordance with approved objectives, plans, programs, and policies set by Council and comply with provincial/federal statutes and municipal by-laws.
- Exert influence to ensure the organization addresses opportunities and challenges through sound decision-making at the council level and within the local government.
- Embody the local government’s values as a senior leader, leading by example to create and sustain an organizational culture where everyone feels safe, valued, and respected.
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Business, Planning, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered, if it aligns with the specific requirements of the role.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience, including five (5) years of leadership experience at a senior level, in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment, which includes community or public facing, and financial management responsibilities.
- Proven accountability in preparing concise, data-supported information to facilitate the council's decision-making.
- Superior judgment and decision-making skills with a focus on driving results through collaboration with others.
- Extensive track record in strategic senior leadership positions, demonstrating a strong acumen as a financial driver and expertise in financial management.
- Proven expertise in securing and managing diverse funding through successful grant and proposal writing; municipal experience is considered an asset.
- Effective communicator both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to develop and articulate a strategic vision for the organization.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Ability to understand the intricacies of government and to develop meaningful relationships of trust with the executive team and elected officials.

Salary: $75,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
