Job Title: Chief Operating Officer

Summary of Role
The Chief Operating Officer will be responsible for overseeing all day-to-day operations of Van Bree Enterprises, ensuring financial stability and growth, creating and implementing business plans, and managing operational efficiencies and processes across all entities. You will be expected to lead the team to ensure every division is running at optimal efficiency and productivity while also emphasizing Van Bree's care and commitment to family, employees, and customer satisfaction.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, an MBA or education in a related field.
- Must have previous experience serving as a COO, CAO or SVP of Operations (preferably in the construction or aggregates industry)
- Excellent leadership skills, specifically the ability to coach and inspire individual and team performance.
- Experience working within a family business environment.
- M & A experience a definite asset.
- Proven ability to analyze data and make strategic, data-driven decisions with strong alignment with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
· Provide strategic direction and leadership for all operational aspects of the company so
the team is excited to perform at their best, in their role.
· Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards to ensure the health
and well-being of all employees.
· Optimize processes to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.
Project Management
· At a High-level Monitor project progress, quality, and cost control so the company’s
reputation for quality work is maintained and the company is profitable.
Executive Coaching & Development
· Lead the senior leadership team to push and challenge themselves while ensuring they
have the proper supports to learn and perform to their highest potential.
· Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous growth &
improvement.
Supply Chain and Logistics
· Manage the procurement of construction materials and equipment so projects can
operate smoothly and efficiently as possible.
· Optimize supply chain and distribution networks for timely delivery of aggregates and
materials to project sites to ensure workflow is continuous.
· Minimize transportation costs and improve inventory management.
Safety and Compliance
· Prioritize and enforce safety protocols and compliance with relevant regulations.
· COO to over see the Health and Safety program.
Resource Management
· Develop workforce management strategies to ensure the company is attracting and
retaining a skilled and motivated team, who feel valued and want to stay with the
company long term.
Cost Management
· Control costs throughout the organization, from project budgets to overhead
expenses.
· Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost-effective solutions.
Performance Monitoring:
· Continuously monitor performance of Management Team and Organization and make
smart, data-driven decisions for improvement.
· Implement systems and processes to track and report key performance indicators.
Risk management
· Identify and mitigate risks related to construction projects, supply chain, and market
dynamics.
· Develop risk management strategies and contingency plans.
· Ensure proper insurance coverage for various aspects of the business.
