Heritage Family Services is now recruiting experienced Child and Youth Care Workers for an Awake Night position for a program located in Rocky Mountain House, AB. This is a 3 on 3 off, rotation (Sunday-Thursday shift hours are 9:30-9am and Friday-Saturday shift hours are 9:30-9:30am) .

The ideal candidate will have likely be characterized by others as authentic, service-focused, responsible, organized and outgoing. They will possess a valid drivers’ license as well as a clean Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector, Child Intervention Check and Driver's Abstract. You display a strong level of interpersonal skills and have the ability to develop healthy relationships with the children in their care.

Requirements:

• A minimum of a two (2) year Diploma in the Human Services field and/or three (3) years of experience in the care of youth with complex needs.
• Experience working with high-complex need individuals.
• Experience working with individuals who have FASD, attachment disorder and complexities of developmental trauma.
• Superior crisis de-escalation and co-regulation skills.
• Compassionate understanding of indigenous culture.
• Combination of experience with First Nation, Metis and/or Inuit culture.
• Respectful of individual and cultural diversity.
