Shifts rotate and are between 6:30am and 6:30pm

This is an ideal opportunity for students and recent graduates looking to get hands-on experience in careers such as teaching, childcare, and recreation. You will work collectively with other members of the team to implement programs, maintain safe environments, work collaboratively with families and the community, maintain professional relationships and adhere to all regulations that pertain to the delivery of licensed childcare. You will gain valuable leadership and team-building skills working with our professional staff of Child Care Educators.
Responsibilities:
- Recognize the unique interests & abilities of all children and assist them in achieving their goals
- Assist in the planning & implementation of developmentally appropriate programming daily
- Attend and fully participate in all employee orientation, training and meetings as outlined by the Supervisor
- Complete pre-program introductory phone calls to families to provide information on the week, and answer family inquiries
- Maintain a high-level of professionalism and confidentiality
The Ideal Candidate – Qualifications, Education and Experience
- High School Diploma, and a minimum of 18 years old (18 years as mandated by the CCEYA)
- Valid up to date Standard First Aid with CPR C (prior to the start of contract)
- Experience working with children within a recreational or licensed childcare setting
- Experience planning and executing play-based, experiential activities for children infant to 12 years

1. Apply for a criminal reference check including vulnerable sector screening
2. Ensure all immunizations are up-to-date and complete a 2-step Tuberculosis Test with your doctor/clinic
3. Ensure you have a valid certification in Standard First Aid & CPR level C
