The Saskatchewan Foster Families Association exists to support and encourage foster families through education and advocacy, helping create healthy homes, positive environments, and brighter futures for children and youth in care across the province. We are currently seeking a Part time 35hrs of Childcare & Domestic Worker to support Foster Homes in MooseJaw SK.
This diverse position performs many tasks that include, but are not limited to childcare, meal preparation, housekeeping and/or transportation to family visits or activities outside the home.
The successful applicant will be flexible in order to successfully meet the changing demands in the workplace. The chosen applicant will also be confident, self-motivated and an individual who demonstrates reliability, professionalism, and who is courteous and attentive to detail.
Additionally, you will be a team player that is willing to help out as needed and must be comfortable driving. You will be open and accepting of change and be open to continuous learning opportunities.
Job type: 30-36hrs per week
15hrs of Childcare and 15- 21hrs of cleaning, must be available during the day and in the evening M-F
Qualifications:
- Applicants will have their ECE or Youth Care Worker certification.
- Experience working in the field of childcare/early childhood development, preference will be given to applicants who have training, skills and/or experience working with children with a range of developmental delays and diverse challenges.
- Demonstrate and practice a healthy lifestyle.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with children, supervisors, and partnering agencies and maintain strict confidentiality and appropriate boundaries
- Ability to express ideas and concepts effectively in an oral and written form.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Criminal records Check (Within 3 Months)
Salary ranges from $17.00-$18.00 Health Benefits may be available after 3 months of employment.
