Job Description:
As a Chocolate Maker Helper at Master Chocolat, you will have the unique opportunity to work alongside our skilled chocolate artisans in the creation of exquisite chocolates and confections. You will play a vital role in the chocolate-making process, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and taste.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in Chocolate Production: Work closely with our Chocolate Makers to prepare ingredients, temper chocolate, and assist in the creation of various chocolate products, including assorted chocolates, bars and treats.
Mold Filling: Carefully fill molds with chocolate to create beautifully shaped chocolates and confections. Ensure precise and consistent filling for each product.
Decorating and Finishing: Assist in the decoration and finishing of chocolate products, including hand-piping designs, sprinkling toppings, and adding final touches to make each piece visually stunning.
Packaging: When required assist the packaging department in packaging the chocolate you assist in creating.
Quality Control: Monitor the quality of chocolate products throughout the production process, reporting any inconsistencies or defects to the Chocolate Makers.
Cleanliness and Sanitation: Maintain a clean and organized work area, including cleaning equipment, utensils, and surfaces. Adhere to strict sanitation and hygiene standards to ensure food safety.
Inventory Management: Assist in inventory management by keeping track of ingredient levels and notifying supervisors when supplies need to be replenished.
Adherence to Procedures: Follow established recipes and production procedures to maintain product consistency and quality.
Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with the chocolate-making team to ensure a smooth and efficient production process.
Qualifications:
- Education in Pastry Making and Chocolate Making a definite asset
- Passion for chocolate and a strong interest in artisanal chocolate production.
- Attention to detail and precision in handling delicate chocolate creations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions closely.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
