Our client has 30+ years of experience in the GTA, planning, designing, constructing, and delivering high-rise residential projects and is currently overseeing the completion of over six thousand residential units.
Job Description
- Responsible for managing consultants and leading design assist, early works, design development, construction documents, permitting, tender oversight and coordinating with consultants, discipline leads, planning and other stakeholders.
- Lead utility coordination teams to identify conflicts; plan for decommissioning, protection, interim and final work; and permit with utility providers and authorities having jurisdiction.
- Lead project planning, forecasting and scheduling requirements.
- Lead progressive technical design submission through Schematic, Design Development and Construction Document Phase.
- Lead coordination meetings, record and following-up on required actions.
- Work closely with the procurement team, value engineer and engage in design assist with trades to provide constructable and cost-effective solutions.
- Work closely with the planning and the development team to align on project deliverables.
- Work closely with the Construction Manager to manage field work, design, and tender deliverables, and to inform the construction schedules and work sequencing.
- Identify and track critical components of the work and track progress to meet pre-agreed milestones.
- Review the drawings and specifications for consistency between various consulting disciplines.
- Coordinate and liaison with municipalities and authorities having jurisdiction to attain the appropriate permits.
- Issue Request for Proposals (RFP) and review and analyze consultants' submittals, ensure accuracy of information and recommendations for award.
- Work closely with consultants to ensure an accurate Building Information Modeling (BIM) model.
- Maintain Project Logs, Project Book, Electronic Filing and Reporting requirements.
