J. Smith Excavating is a medium-sized excavation company located in Charlotte County, NB.

We employ 20+ local operators, truck drivers and diesel mechanics. The health and safety of our employees is our top priority.

Our focus is excavation and groundwork including but not limited to sewage work, ground prep for buildings, mulching. We also sell various forms of aggregate from our numerous gravel pits and rock quarries to third parties.

We have an opening for a Civil Project Manager/Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will work out of our St. George, NB office. The Civil Project Manager/Estimator will be responsible for all aspects of project management for a variety of projects. We are looking for someone who can estimate jobs, coordinate design and construction tasks, review designs, cost estimates, coordinate with sub consultants and other disciplines, and manage engineering and construction budgets.

Your contribution:

• Manage various civil engineering projects for a variety of clients.
• Plan and execute projects in accordance with company and client guidelines and standards.
• Achieve budget, quality, and schedule compliance on assigned engineering projects.
• Advance and understand project requirements related to current development standards, specifications, and guidelines.
• Coordinate project requirements between the client, employees, and other disciplines.
• Participate in project and client meetings.
• Coordinate subconsultant activity on projects.
• Report on project status on a regular basis.
• Maintain and build client relationships.
• Conduct site visits.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $62,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
