Job description

Do you feel like you want your work to impact your team and community? Do you love working with data – gathering, analyzing and trending; and coming up with recommendations to create efficiencies, thereby, helping your team increase productivity and quality of work?

Well, we do offer the essentials - a competitive salary, great pension, and excellent employer-paid family benefits. But more than that, we also provide opportunities. The opportunity to do work that makes a difference and direct impact to your team and community. The opportunity to expand your professional skills and grow your career. And the opportunity to come to work every day to a job you’re passionate about and that leaves you feeling happy and fulfilled.

Does this sound exciting for you? Here’s some good news: SGI is hiring!

We’re looking for an CLAIMS ANALYST who is responsible for specialized claims analytical work involving the application of claims practices, procedures, and systems to varied work requirements. The incumbent is responsible for internal and external data of established and new claims practices, manuals, and coverage wording, performing analysis, and providing recommendations for decision making. Improvements are identified and recommendations are made, and the position supports management in implementation and quality control.

We hope you consider applying if you:

  • Have a strong background on data analytics;
  • Love finding ways to develop data tracking reports or dashboards through PowerBI to help track and improve performance;
  • Have some experience in process mapping and review;
  • Demonstrate a GROWTH mindset and a commitment to continuous learning/development;
  • Value collaborating and building relationships with different teams; and
  • Thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing work environment while also helping others navigate through these changes.

Typically, these skills are gained through a:

  • Four-year degree from an accredited post-secondary education institution in a relevant field of study such as Business or Mathematics & Applied Science, or defined equivalency; and
  • 3 - 5 years’ experience in an industry related field such as a business analytics.

But we don’t want you to worry about checking every box! We know the confidence gap and imposter syndrome can get in the way, so please don't hesitate to apply. We'd love to hear from you!
