Position Summary:
To transport freight to and from stations and hub facilities and/or pickup and delivery of large, skidded freight and/or multiple piece skidded shipments in a safe and responsible manner and with a sense of urgency. Responsibilities also include the regular operation of power material handling equipment for proper loading, weight balancing and sequencing of unit loading devices.
- High school diploma
- Twelve (12) months heavy vehicle driving experience preferred
- Class AZ (Class 1) driver's license with good driving record required
- Ability to operate manual transmission required
- Air brake certification required
- Customer service skills
- Ability to multitask
- Organizational skills, especially on the road
- Analytical ability
- Must be able to communicate effectively between hub, station facility management, and dispatch
