Position Summary
Operates a large or heavy truck that transports cargo to and from specified locations on time and according to schedule. Role involves adhering to all traffic and safety regulations, conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and ensuring the timely delivery of cargo to its destination.
- We are looking for professional and safety-oriented Class 1 Truck Drivers Owner Operator with a FAST Card or TWIC card in Calgary, AB.
- The areas serviced will be USA, BC, AB, SK, MB
- RUN is for Single
- Ensure customer delivery is met in a timely, safe and professional manner
What you will do
- Operates vehicle safely and responsibly, adhering to all DOT and company safety regulations.
- Conducts routine inspections prior to departure to ensure the vehicle is in optimal condition.
- Manages appropriate cargo documentation and provides necessary paperwork upon the delivery of goods.
- Coordinates the loading and unloading of the truck, verifying cargo and ensuring items are properly stored and secured.
- Maintains contact with dispatcher to provide status updates, clarify special instructions, and notify about delays or issues during transport.
What You’ll Bring
- Possess a Class 1 driving license, Commercial Experience considered an asset
- Possess in continuous good standing a valid Alberta issued Class 1 license (no more than 3 demerits and 3 negative events in 5 years)
- Must pass drug and alcohol test
- Valid Fast card or TWIC card
- Mountain driving experience a must
- Must be bondable and legally able to work in Canada
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
- Follow company rules and regulations with respect to safety and hours of service
- Excellent customer service skills
