Position Summary
The Class 3A Driver will be relied upon to visit various client sites to collect and transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials. The driver will be required to load and unload trucks/trailers. As a professional driver with a safe driving record, you will utilize TDG knowledge and experience to assist with labeling containers and preparing transport documentation.
Key Accountabilities
Safely operate all required transport equipment.
Professionally represent GFL on all client sites.
Ensure all assigned equipment is properly loaded and maintained.
Keep accurate drivers’ logs as required to document mileage, hours and material hauled.
Communicate effectively with a team of qualified professionals.
Participate in safety meetings, last minute risk assessments and job hazard assessments.
Identify and classify all types of hazardous waste.
Handle drum dollies and pallet jacks for the transportation and loading of materials.
Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
Valid Class 3A Driver’s License and a clean Commercial Driving Abstract and Claims History.
Skid Steer experience is an asset (Certificate).
TDG knowledge and experience is an asset but not required.

Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to perform routine vehicle maintenance.

Will be required to work both indoors and outdoors.
Manual dexterity, ability to lift 50+ lbs. required.
Support with overtime work as needed.
