Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Manager of Clean Slate Team will be an integral role for the Downtown Community Safety Partnership (DCSP), primarily responsible for the management of the Clean Slate Team and for the ongoing development of the DCSP Clean Slate Team. The Manager of Clean Slate Teamwill represent the Core Guiding and Service Principles of the Downtown Community Safety Partnership in the community and will be an approachable individual, ensuring the Engagement team facilitates positive interactions with the community fostering a sense of safety, health and wellbeing for all.
Focusing but not limited to litter pickup, graffiti removal and general waste removal work.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support participants by providing case management and connecting them to social services agencies
- Develop individualized service plans in collaboration with participants
- Act as an advocate for the current needs of participants
- Liaise to build positive working relationships with social service agencies in the community
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
· Post-secondary educational background in Social Services or related discipline; combination of experience is also considered. Minimum one year working experience with vulnerable sector
- Knowledge and Understanding about Harm-reduction Framework, motivational interviewing, and strengths-based approach
- Certification in First Aid, MHFA, ASIST, NVCI is an asset
- Experience working on case management database platform is an asset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience in Non-profit sector is an asset
- Class 5 driver's license
